New premises provides growth and expansion to Business Continuity system provider, as well as opportunities for high-tech start up companies
Release date: 1 October 2011
Managed Service Provider (MSP), DataFort, today announces the relocation of its sales and research office to DataFort House, a 5,000 square foot premises located in Guildford town centre. DataFort House will provide the company with ample space to manage recent staff additions and increased growth based on the 2010 launch of a new managed service portfolio, which has increased DataFort’s turnover by 32% in the last 12 months.
Located 100 yards from the mainline train station and within easy access of the A3, DataFort House is in a prime location for easy commutability and customer interaction. The office space will be home to sales, administration and research and development departments, whilst the London offices will continue to deal with all London-based sales and support.
As well as providing DataFort with room to grow their business, DataFort has set aside a small number of all inclusive business suites in an effort to support high-tech start-up companies. This will give a limited number of technology companies an opportunity to develop in a cost efficient environment that also includes expert ICT support services.
Marcie Terman, Business Development Director at DataFort, comments, “DataFort had long outgrown our previous premises. We are developing a leading edge company where we are trying to attract the best and the brightest talent in the data security and data management fields. The corporate culture we are developing encourages innovative thinking that will continue to set us apart from our more traditional competitors in the data security space. Accommodating these kinds of high quality people and fostering technical creativity takes space and amenities that were simply not possible in the TV House offices. We are using virtual technologies and the Cloud in innovative ways that gives our customers access to services that would have only been possible for large corporate and internationals a couple of years ago. I am committed to creating an environment that not only fosters creativity but models forward thinking companies like Amazon and Google.”
Terman continues, “Alongside DataFort having space to grow, we are now in a position to support the development of other technology companies that share our vision. We can offer technology companies solid support, based on our existing knowledge and data centre presence. The rent will include, in addition to utilities and office furniture, access to our conference facilities, internet connectivity, IT support and data backup. The fact that the office is in Guildford town centre, within walking distance of the mainline station and parking, makes this a pretty exciting proposition for a start up technology company.”
Terman concludes, “We are excited about the opportunities that the office move will bring not only to us at DataFort but also to the wider business network. For ambitious companies like us, we see the move as a positive step to increase the company’s future growth plans.”
